Grace period

What is Grace period?

The grace period or also used as free period, gives customers time to pay their debts with out any extra fees added on their credit. This grace period differs from contract to contract and creditor by creditor, for example credit cards on which interests are calculated on a daily basis there’s no grace period. Now the most common days for grace period is in the range of 20-30 days and the creditor has to send you the bill within 14 days so that you’ll have plenty of time to pay.

For example if we’re talking about a student loan then there’s a grace period of half a year or six months after finishing college when the first bill arrives and then you have to pay. In case of an insurance policy there’s also a grace period usually a month until they will cancel the policy it self. All in all grace period gives the customer extra time to pay off his debts.
